Our workforce is quickly changing as the Boomer generation looks to retirement. Over the past few years, Millennials have saturated the workforce in record numbers and next up, Generation Z is ready to make its debut. The oldest of the Generation Z class are just coming out of high school and starting to separate from their predecessors. This session will help you understand Millennials in the workforce and offer insight as you prepare for Gen Z. We will look at what motivates them, how to relate to them and how to attract and retain them in your organization. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to work.
1. Understand the Millennial generation.
2. Recognize core values and beliefs of Millennials.
3. Understand Generation Z and its similarities and differences with the Millennial generation.
Kathy Espinoza is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist with dual master’s degrees: one in Work Science/Physiology; and the other in Business Administration. She has worked at Keenan for 15 years providing ergonomic assessments and injury prevention training to office personnel, management, executive boards, custodial and facility departments. She gained most of her experience in ergonomics while serving as the Coordinator of the Chronic Back Pain Program for Kaiser Permanente in Fontana for over 12 years. Espinoza taught Ergonomics in the Workplace at UC, Riverside for over 10 years and was the 2010 recipient of the UCR Instructor Excellence Award. She has 61 articles published in the field of ergonomics.
